Welcome from the Friends of Lane Cove National Park Inc.

We are a group of people enthusiastic about conservation in our local National Park in suburban Sydney, Australia. Friends of Lane Cove National Park Inc. don't have to live locally. Visitors come from all over Sydney, interstate and overseas to enjoy the peaceful surroundings beside the Lane Cove River. Anyone interested in protecting our native bushland or helping the Lane Cove National Park in other ways can become a Friend.

Stopping NSW's weed crisis
After land clearing, weeds are recognised as the most serious threat to endangered native plants and animals in NSW.

This threat is rapidly increasing as more weed species are introduced and spread into new areas.

More than 30 environment groups, bush carers, councils and volunteer organisations have backed a report released by the Invasive Species Council calling on the NSW Government to deal with the state's growing weed crisis. The Friends have donated $200 towards this important project.
