Clean
Up Australia Day is upon us again on Sunday 7th March.
Matt
has organised a site for what he would call the more adventurous
Clean Up Australia volunteers, meeting at Whale Rock in the
North Epping area of the park, and is hoping to clean up along
Devlins Creek which is one of the major tributaries to the
Lane Cove River. .http://www.cleanupaustraliaday.org.au/Devlins+Ck.
There
are several other Clean Up Australia Day sites around the
park which will cover more level, less slippery territory
so look up the Clean Up Australia Day website for more details.
The Easter
Show Bushcare stall is
looking for more volunteers again this year.
Starting
on Thursday 1st April until Wednesday 14th April they are
now calling for enthusiastic volunteers to help man the stall,
and promote your local Bushcare and other local environmental
initiatives. All volunteers are welcome and encouraged to
get involved. Stall volunteers receive a FREE ticket into
the show. Contact Angie Fricker at Angie.fricker@cma.nsw.gov.au
or Matt
to book or for more information.

To
do with Wildflowers
Identification
This year the APS North Shore group will be holding its Walks
and Talks at the Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden on Mondays.
Each week a different plant family is discussed and displayed,
with hints given for identification. The talk is followed
by a walk in the gardens, finding flowering examples of the
day’s topic. Cost is $4 and entry to the garden is free
if you are attending this activity.

here for more information and the year's programme.
