Messages from Matt - February 2010

I’m hoping to offer more opportunities for training in addition to these through the year so if you can’t make any of these dates, especially those earlier in the year, and are interested in doing something then let me know. If there is some type of training that you would like to see us offer then also let me know and I’ll see what we can arrange. I’m interested in organising something on birds in the park this year so let me know if you would be interested in that.

For information about the Bushcare program or courses at the Park, phone Matt, the park's Bushcare Coordinator on 9415 3998 or click here to email him

Lane Cove National Park Bushcare training days for bushcare volunteers and anyone interested

These are open for anyone who is interested and are free of charge so be quick as places are limited – the Introduction to Bushcare Courses are great for those starting out and are highly recommended for anyone that has not done one in the past. If you have friends or family who are not involved in Bushcare but you think they may be interested to find out more then they are welcome too.

  • Native Plant Identification (will cover different plants to the May course but some of the same basics) - Sunday 29th August
  • Introduction to Bush Regeneration - Sunday 31st October

For more information about these courses, phone Matt, the park's Bushcare Coordinator on 9415 3998 or click here to email. More details will be given here closer to each date.

This program has been developed to allow bush regen volunteers to view and work on other bushcare sites across the Sydney Metropolitan area.
