Lane
Cove National Park Plan of Management 2009/2010
Since 1998
many circumstances have changed in Lane Cove National Park. A major
change has been a rough doubling of the size of the park, with the
inclusion of areas along the river corridor that were previously
council-owned Regional Parks and recreation areas.
The current
(1998) 10-year plan of management for the Lane Cove National Park
was due for review as of 2003. A PoM audit was conducted in 2004.
A new Plan
of Management is now being produced. The public is being asked to
make comments and suggestions at meetings and after viewing the
public exhibition of the draft PoM.
The PoM has
been released for internal exhibition by the area manager, regional
manager and other planners in DECC. It will hopefully be on public
exhibition before the end of the year 2010. The process has been
slowed somewhat by the restructure of DECC.
Written presentations
and summaries of results of meetings and submissions are/will be
available from this page at all stages of the process. See below.
