About Us

Grants and projects
Since we began, we have applied for grants from various government and sometimes commercial organisations to fund specific projects or purchases in Lane Cove National Park. They are usually determined in consultation with management of Lane Cove National Park. Commercial bushcare work is monitored by park staff while the Friends of LCNP Inc undertake the educational features such as production of leaflets, signage, press releases.

Current grant projects

  • Removal of Balloon Vine along Lane Cove River from Browns Waterhole - $10,000 Ku-ring-gai Council's Environmental Levy Small Grants
  • Kittys Creek and Buffalo Creek - $20,000 each project from CMA Caring for Country grants
  • Shrimptons Creek - $5,500 from Landcare
  • The Friends have allocated $4,000 for bushcare work at Tunks Farm and $2,000 for Scribbly Gums
